APDIPI Holds Its 2nd Meeting at Hasanuddin University to Discuss Governance, Accreditation, and Doctoral Program Development

The Association of Doctoral Programs in Agricultural Sciences of Indonesia (APDIPI) held its 2nd Meeting at the Graduate School of Hasanuddin University, Makassar. The meeting was attended by representatives of Doctoral Programs in Agricultural Sciences from universities across Indonesia, including the Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jember.
The meeting focused on several strategic agendas, including the discussion and ratification of the Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) of APDIPI as the institutional foundation of the association, as well as socialization and discussion on LAM-PTIP accreditation to strengthen quality assurance and governance of doctoral programs in agricultural sciences.
Participants also took part in forum discussions and experience sharing on curriculum alignment of doctoral programs with the latest national higher education policies, discussions on APDIPI’s strategic role and contribution within FKPTPI, and exchanges of best practices in BAN-PT accreditation. These sessions served as an important platform for aligning perspectives and strengthening collaboration among doctoral program administrators.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants conducted the signing of an Implementation Arrangement (IA) for inter-institutional cooperation among Doctoral Programs in Agricultural Sciences. The IA formalizes agreements on the implementation of guest lectures and the involvement of external dissertation examiners across participating programs, as concrete measures to enhance academic quality, objectivity in dissertation assessment, and the enrichment of doctoral-level scholarly perspectives.
The participation of the Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Jember, in this meeting is expected to further strengthen inter-university collaboration, particularly in curriculum development, quality enhancement of doctoral education, and the strategic role of APDIPI in advancing nationally and internationally competitive doctoral programs in agricultural sciences.
